Speech and Debate is the largest extracurricular activity in the country and the top ranked extracurricular activity for college admissions according to US News and World Report. From Oprah, to Justices Breyer and Sotomayor, to Carol Channing, to Benjamin Bratt and Jane Pauley, Your child will receive the unprecedented opportunity that will change their lives. They will be competing against some of the top nationally ranked schools, many of which are in the South Bay. Also I cannot wait to personally mentor and support your child. As a nationally ranked speaker and debater throughout high school and at Harvard, I have previously coached a top 2% team in the country and brought 10 students to state championships and 2 made it to national championships, 2 of the top 20 debaters in the country.

Also, high school students will be able to enroll in Speech, Intermediate Speech, and Advanced Speech to fulfill college course credit requirements.

Mandatory Meeting

You and your child are cordially invited to attend a mandatory team meeting on Thursday, June 5 at 7 am – or – Friday, June 6, at 1 pm. Or make alternative arrangements using the online registration form.

Remind 101

I wanted to inform you students and parents are asked to sign up for Remind101. Remind 101 is a texting program that allows me to text the team without using my own number. You are able to sign up for these texts as well. To receive messages via text, text @jkwo to (669) 231-0978.

Mandatory Summer Camp

Your child is also asked to attend a summer speech and debate camp to be held on campus. You may sign up using the online registration form or make alternative arrangements using the form.

·         June 10-12, 8 am - 2 pm

·         August 6-8, 8 am - 2 pm

·         August 11-13, 8 am - 2 pm

Stanford National Forensic Institute

Also, students are invited to attend the Stanford National Forensic Institute, a national caliber summer forensics program. Sign up information can be found on https://snfi.org/. The school is not affiliated nor does it endorse participation in SNFI.
